This is the privacy notice of The Memory Makery.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and confidentiality. We undertake to preserve the confidentiality of all information you provide to us.
We do not share, or sell, or disclose to a third party, any information collected through our website or via other channels, e.g. email.
We do not share photos of your keepsakes online without permission and obscure at least part of any personal data recorded on a keepsake (e.g. full name, date of birth), so as not to identify an individual.
If you have any questions about this privacy notice, including any requests to exercise your legal rights, please contact info@thememorymakery.co.uk.
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you, solely for the purposes of fulfilling your order. We have grouped them as follows:
Your identity as the person placing an order, such as first name and last name.
The identity of any party to be recorded on a keepsake, such as first name, middle name, last name, date of birth, birth weight, and any other identifiers that you have provided for your keepsakes.
Your contact information as the person placing an order, or for a recipient, such as billing/delivery addresses, email address, telephone number, and any other information that you have given to us for the purposes of communication or meeting.
Transaction data includes details about payments or communications to and from you and information about products and services you have purchased from us.
We don't currently hold any credit card data or bank details outside of transactional data as it appears in bank records. Payment information is never taken by us through our website.
We do not send marketing and therefore do not record marketing preferences.
We may aggregate anonymous data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Anonymous data is data that does not identify you as an individual. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal information in law because it does not reveal your identity.
We gather only the information required to process your order and do not collect any special personal information about you.
The bases on which we hold any of the above data are as follows:
- Information we process for the purposes of legitimate interests. For example, we may process your data on this basis for the purposes of record-keeping for the proper and necessary administration of our business or responding to unsolicited communication from you to which we believe you would expect a response.
- Information we process because we have a legal obligation. For example, we may be required to give information to legal authorities if they so request or if they have the proper authorisation such as a search warrant or court order. This may include your personal information.
- Information provided on the understanding that it will be shared with a third party. For example, our social media sites, such as Facebook and Instagram, allow you to post information with a view to that information being read, copied, downloaded or used by other people. This includes posting a message on our pages, you posting photos of your keepsakes, tagging an image or posting a review. In posting personal information, it is up to you to satisfy yourself about the privacy level of every person who might use it. We do not specifically use this information except to allow it to be displayed or shared.
Once your information enters the public domain as initiated by you as above, we have no control over what any individual might do with it. We accept no responsibility for their actions at any time. However, provided your request is reasonable and there is no legal basis for us to retain it, then at our discretion we may agree to your request to delete personal information that you have posted. Contact info@thememorymakery.co.uk.
To complain about any of the content on our website, please contact info@thememorymakery.co.uk and we will investigate.
When you contact us, whether by telephone, through our website, email or through social media/messaging channels, we collect the data you have given to us in order to reply with the information you need.
